What is KIDFIT Primary Care?

Keeping IDeal Cardiovascular Health Family Intervention Trial (KIDFIT)

The purpose of the KIDFIT Primary Care pilot study is to test the impact of brief telephonic diet & lifestyle coaching directed at parents of preschool-age children with the overarching aim of improving targeted young children’s eating, activity and sleep behaviors during the six month study period. This simplified intervention, funded by the JR Albert Foundation, is a clinical adaptation of a more intensive, 12-month KIDFIT concurrent clinical trial sponsored by the Department of Preventive Medicine at Northwestern University and the American Heart Association.
